Read. Pray. Belong.
Practical + Immersive Hebrew 1:1 Coaching
Reading is the skill. Confidence is the result — in shul, at the table, anywhere Jewish life happens.
The promise
“Every session ends with something you can use in real Jewish life that same week. From the very first session. And week by week, you start to feel like you belong.”
Not someday. This week, and every week after.
What you get
Not tutoring.
Coaching.
Tutoring happens once a week. Coaching happens between sessions too — structured homework, check-ins, and someone tracking your progress and holding you to it.
Tutoring
Shows up weekly. You're on your own in between.
Coaching
Practice, feedback, and accountability all week long.
-
01
A method built for adult brains
Research-backed and mesorah-aligned — the Science of Reading adapted for Hebrew's different alphabet, right-to-left flow, and pointed vowels. It works faster than most people expect.
-
02
Between-session support
Structured practice materials, recorded feedback, and email support so the work continues when we're not on a call together.
-
03
Daily progress you can see
Tracking with real feedback means you never wonder where you stand. You will know — and so will your coach.
Who this is for
If you were
failed by Hebrew
school —
Jewish adults who never got a real Hebrew education, or got one that didn't stick. You sat through Hebrew school and came out unable to read. You follow along by watching everyone else — standing when others stand. Whether you grew up with no Jewish education or were failed by the one you had, this is for you. Converts in process are warmly welcome.
About your coach
Aaron Symonds
Native English & Hebrew speaker — not learned, but lived.
Aaron grew up in Jerusalem in an Orthodox home, with a baal-teshuvah father and a mother who converted to Judaism. He has stood at every intersection his students are navigating: inside the tradition, and alongside the journey into it.
It's not that you're a slow learner. Most adults who sat through years of Hebrew school — or tried apps, YouTube, or sheer willpower — hit a wall not because of ability, but because of method. Aaron's approach is built to get you past it.

Unsure how much time you can give, or already have some Hebrew and mainly need to fill gaps? Start here. Many students move up once they feel what consistent progress is like.

Intensive
Something on the calendar that requires fluency — an aliyah date, a wedding, a bar mitzvah, a beit din? Three sessions a week turn a year-long journey into a season.
